Lead Medical Assistant for ENT office.

Key Requirements:

• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a medical office setting.
• Spanish Speaking (Plus): Bilingualism in Spanish is helpful due to the patient population the practice serves.
• NextGen Experience (Plus): Familiarity with the NextGen Electronic Health Record (EHR) system is a significant advantage, as it would reduce the learning curve for the new hire.

Responsibilities:

• Administrative Tasks:
  • Ordering back-office supplies: Managing inventory and ensuring necessary supplies are available.
  • Pre-authorizing surgeries: Obtaining approval from insurance companies before surgical procedures.
  • Scheduling surgery: Coordinating surgery dates and times with patients, surgical facilities, and the physician.
  • Creating surgery orders: Preparing the necessary documentation and instructions for the surgical procedure.
• Clinical Support:
  • Assisting the physician with in-office procedures: Providing support during examinations and minor surgical procedures.
  • Rooming patients: Escorting patients to examination rooms and preparing them for their appointments.
  • Entering intake information into EHR: Documenting patient history, vital signs, and other relevant information in the electronic health record system.
