Key Responsibilities:
Answering Calls: Respond to incoming calls from patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders efficiently and professionally.
Appointment Scheduling: Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments using the clinic’s electronic health record (EHR) system.
Patient Inquiries: Address patient questions and concerns, providing information on services, procedures, and appointment details.
Message Taking: Accurately document and relay messages to appropriate healthcare providers or departments.
Insurance Verification: Assist in verifying patient insurance coverage and eligibility prior to appointments.
Patient Registration: Update and maintain patient records in the EHR, including demographics, insurance information, and contact details.
Problem Resolution: Address patient complaints or issues promptly and escalate them to the appropriate personnel when necessary.
Qualifications:
Ability to work 7:30am - 12:30pm Monday through Friday
High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional certification in medical office administration or related fields is a plus.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a medical office or similar administrative role.
Proficiency in EMR systems.
Strong understanding of medical terminology, insurance processes, and HIPAA regulations.
Excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced work environment.
Bilingual skills (preferred but not required).
