Population Health Data Analyst

Location: Fort Worth, TX

Overview of the Role:

The Population Health Data Analyst will collaborate with market-based population health teams, clinical providers, networked partners, and Performance Management to gather and manage extensive datasets from sources like patient records and claims data. This role involves generating reports focused on enhancing quality and performance and translating data into actionable insights to improve health outcomes and lower healthcare costs for Privia's at-risk patients. Responsibilities also include developing and maintaining data processing and storage systems to ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity. Candidates should possess relevant clinical experience, video conferencing proficiency, and the necessary education or licensure/certification to support the Population Health team.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Gather data from electronic health records (EHRs), claims data, patient surveys, business analytics tools, and other sources
  • Work with various data sources to develop reports, visualizations, and dashboards
  • Use statistical methods and analytical tools to uncover trends, patterns, and correlations in the data
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Work with associates on monthly division meeting reports
  • Work with healthcare providers, administrators, and IT teams to ensure data accuracy and accessibility
  • Manage and share files via SFTPs
  • Assist with support tickets and requests for the Population Health team
  • Attend meetings and training sessions when needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or general equivalency
  • Previous experience with Electronic Health Record software
  • MS Office literacy, including Intermediate Excel skills
  • Experience with business intelligence tools and/or visual analytics tools
  • Experience with SQL databases preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures, ICD-10 and CPT coding, and insurance processes preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Interpersonal Skills & Attributes:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and/or Google equivalents
  • Strong verbal communication skills, especially through remote video conferencing
