Monday–Thursday: Typically 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Friday: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Schedule may fluctuate, and some days may require arrival as early as 7:15 AM

We are seeking a hard-working, enthusiastic, and dependable Medical Assistant to support one physician in a busy Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) group practice. Our practice treats patients of all ages, from newborns to seniors.
The Medical Assistant is a critical member of the clinical team, responsible for both clinical and administrative duties. While patients are in the clinic, the MA interviews patients, documents directly in the EMR, schedules tests and procedures, assists with minor in-office procedures, and supports efficient patient flow.
This role also includes answering and triaging patient phone calls, managing referrals, and coordinating care with outside specialists. A clear understanding that medicine is a service industry and the patient is the customer is essential.
Greet patients and escort them from the waiting room to exam rooms
Collect detailed patient histories and document accurately in the EMR
Review prior chart entries and become familiar with established patients
Measure and record vital signs
Answer phones and manage patient inquiries
Manage and process referrals, including sending records to outside specialists
Obtain faxed medical records from referring physicians
Schedule tests, procedures, and follow-up appointments
Assist physicians with minor in-office procedures
Clean and sanitize exam rooms between patients
Keep exam rooms stocked and organized
Clean and sterilize medical equipment
Contact insurance companies to obtain prior authorizations
Manage prescription refill requests
Triage patient phone calls, review concerns with the physician, and respond appropriately
Help keep the clinic and physician on schedule
Maintain clean, organized nursing and patient care areas
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
Ability to take and document vital signs
Strong typing and computer skills
Familiarity with Windows-based systems
Knowledge of medical terminology
Experience with NextGen EMR preferred but not required
Professional phone etiquette and strong communication skills
Dependable, reliable, and consistently punctual
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
High School Diploma or GED (required)
Medical Assistant certification (recommended)
