Texas Healthcare Neurology is a fast-paced, growing medical practice dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. We are looking for an energetic, experienced, and highly organized Medical Office Manager to bridge the gap between our administrative front office and clinical back office.

Job Description
As the Medical Office Manager, you will hold a pivotal role, keeping our practice running efficiently behind the scenes while creating a welcoming, seamless experience for our patients. You are a natural leader who can motivate staff, manage compliance, and drive operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations Leadership: Oversee daily front/back-office functions, ensuring optimal patient flow and efficiency.
  • Front Office Management: Supervise check-in/out, appointment scheduling, phone triage, and patient inquiries.
  • Back Office Support: Assist with or manage medical assistant workflows, referrals, prior authorizations, and inventory of supplies.
  • Compliance & Records: Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA and OSHA regulations, managing EHR accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Finance & HR: Handle staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and oversee billing, coding, and insurance verification processes.
  • AI Technology Integration: Utilize and train staff on modern EHR, patient communication tools, and automated workflows to reduce manual tasks.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 1-2 years of progressive experience in medical office management, with hands-on experience in both front desk and clinical back-office roles.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in EHR software, MS Office/Google Workspace, and familiarity with digital healthcare tools.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage, train, and motivate a team.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills, with a patient-centric, empathetic approach.
  • Education: Medical Assistant Certification with 1 year of team leadership in health care.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with NextGen preferred.
